Matemwe Villa Loiki is one of the first Private Villas to be built in Zanzibar.

Patrick, the Congo-born Belgian owner, has been coming to the Spice Island for over 25 years (long before mainstream tourism took off here) and he was lucky enough to secure a long-term lease on this amazing property. Those were the days when you could only access Matemwe by driving along the beach, and it took 3 hours to get there from Stone Town!

Patrick’s villa was never officially named, but has become affectionately known by the locals as Villa Loiki, after his daughter.
