With each Pavilion at Kilindi Zanzibar set in its own private tropical garden – and served by a dedicated Butler – privacy is guaranteed.
Your dedicated Butler will offer you a wide selection of places to enjoy your breakfast, lunch and dinner. And should you wish to leave the oasis of your private Pavilion, your Butler will arrange any of the incredible activities and excursions that Kilindi and the island have on offer.
Kilindi provides a variety of intimate dining possibilities… from the absolute privacy of your pavilion, to a table on the pristine white beach which runs the length of the property.
Alternatively, you can enjoy your meals on the alfresco terrace or around the swimming pool of the main pavilion.
The Main Pavilion
A cascading water bar overlooks a large 25 metre infinity pool which offers views out across the sparkling turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.
After dinner you can relax and enjoy a pipe or nightcap in the fabulous shisha lounge.
Kilindi Zanzibar is very well located for diving and snorkeling trips, which generally take place around Mnemba Atoll.
The Safari Blue Dolphin and Snorkeling trip features a cruise in the beautiful Minai Bay Conservation Area, where you’ll get a chance to see the dolphins, as well as swim on one of the pristine sandbanks. Your trip will also visit some of the nearby islets, and provide opportunities to snorkel at the coral reefs. Lunch will be a seafood barbeque with fish, calamari and slipper lobster served hot from the grill.
For a more sedate trip, you could board a traditional sailing dhow for a sunset cruise. Watching the sun set over the Indian Ocean from an African sailing boat, while sipping a glass of wine, is an experience you’ll never forget!
With its location on Zanzibar’s north western tip, Kilindi is situated close to some of Africa’s best deep sea fishing grounds.
August to November provides really good sport for the big Yellowfin Tuna, one of the strongest fish around. Big Blue Marlin and a number of Striped and Black Marlin are also found, as well as Sailfish. During this season, multiple hook ups are normal, when the ocean can come alive with huge schools of Tuna in pursuit of smaller fish.
During the billfish season, which is from November to March, Striped Marlin are the most prolific, sometimes showing in schools of up to ten. Large Blue and Black Marlin are also quite common during this period.
NB: All ocean activities can be arranged by Kilindi, but are provided by 3rd party suppliers, and are not included in the rate.
