A private barbeque lunch on one of the small deserted islands near the southern coast is a special treat and can be organized for you.

Early morning tea and coffee is served in the villas.

snorkeling: A traditional dhow takes you to the most beautiful parts of the protected Menai Bay. After snorkeling a barbeque lunch can be organized for you on the beach of a deserted island not far from the Kizimkazi coast.

dolphin encounters: Kizimkazi is well known for the many dolphins which inhabit the area. With a dhow Unguja Divers takes you out to find them. Although they are wild animals they swim close to the boat for you to watch and enjoy.

exploring Zanzibar: Visits to all of the interesting places on Zanzibar will gladly be organised for you. Additionally to the well known places of interest such as Jozani Forest Reserve, Stonetown, spice farms and Prison Island, you will also have the possibility to visit many less known places as well. With each tour, you will be under the professional care of a local guide selected to suit your itinerary. A tour through the local village of Kizimkazi (guided by one of the villagers) is offered too.

Unguja Divers operates the diving and snorkeling activities. Whether you are an experienced diver or a novice, the instructors give you the opportunity to discover the stunning undersea world of the Indian Ocean in a way suiting your personal wishes.

At the house reef in front of the resort you can enjoy beautiful coral, a diversity of tropical fish and other spectacular sea-life. A traditional dhow can take you to more remote locations. There you meet the big ones such as reef sharks, barracudas and sometimes even a whale shark. From September until December humpback whales are often seen.

For real adventurous divers Unguja Divers organize exploration dives: they go out to look for the real untouched parts of the Indian Ocean using GPS and echo sounder.

Unguja Divers also offers you a broad range of dive courses.

Their professional and experienced instructors are all PADI certified and speak several languages.

Of course you will dive with modern, well maintained, high quality equipment.

The flora and fauna at Unguja Lodge are beautiful: there are very old mango trees and many baobab trees. The site also offers a home to many animals: the very rare red colobus monkeys are regular visitors and black tail monkeys and dik-diks can also be seen.

A small nature trail (about 50m) takes you to a small, permanent tidal beach.
